The Ho'ike o Haleakala curriculum is divided into modules, units, and activities. The activities are the individual lesson plans that make up units. A unit is a collection of activities on the same topic and within the same module. Each of the four modules cover a discrete ecosystem of Haleakala.

For example, if you want to find an individual lesson on coastal erosion, you would look in the "coastal" module to find the unit "Beach Today, Gone Tomorrow" and the activity "Causes and Consequences of Erosion."

• Modules - divisions of discrete ecosystems of Haleakala (Example: Coastal Module)
• Units - topics pertaining to that ecosystem (Example: Beach Today, Gone Tomorrow?)
• Activities - lesson plans for each unit (Example: Causes and Consequences of Erosion )

The unit search is designed to make it as easy as possible to find a unit in the Ho'ike o Haleakala curriculum that best meets your needs. You can search by any combination of module and/or period and/or subject.

• Module - The Ho'ike o Haleakala curriculum is divided into four modules. Each module covers a discrete ecosystem of Haleakala.

• Period - This describes the total number of class periods the entire unit is designed to take.

• Subject - Choose from a selected list of keywords that describe the general topic of the unit.
